What a great week. Yes, I (Orest) had an inner ear infection and was feeling pretty miserable. However, we put out a couple of issues to prayer and, praise God, they were answered.
First of all, our vehicle was on a lease which comes to an end next Wednesday. We now needed to find inexpensive wheels to handle our futures travels. Travel which includes driving from Quebec to Alberta, with numerous side trips for visits and support raising. We talked to people in the Church about praying for this item. Very shortly thereafter, a man from the Church comes up with a used van that is perfect for our needs. He reduces the price by over 20 %. He is a mechanic and proceeds to put new tires, fix some electronic problems and make sure the brakes are alright. He also says we can call anytime there might be a problem. Now that man, named Christian, is a man who looks after others. He is a true blessing from God. He is an older gentleman who has been a Christian for only 4 years. He also speaks very minimal english.
Second, we were planning our travels across western Canada and praying about our journey. We prayed that some specifics would come into play, such as where to stay. Again, within a couple of days we find out that a relative has a house in Calgary and was looking for a missionary couple to house sit during the fall. This allows us to see friends and family and to do support raising in the area.
God does indeed answer prayer. Praise God.
One more thing. Here it is a beautiful morning on April 16 and there is a beautiful heavy snowfall. I love it. I am not so sure that some of our U.S. friends are as excited.
