Every day we have the joy of spending time with people of different ages, from a different culture,
different faith, with different languages.
We have the blessings to be able to both teach them and to learn from
them.
Now are
students range in age from 10 years old to over 50. We are teaching (English, Literacy,
computers, Kids Club) men and women who range from university educated to
illiterate. We are also teaching those
who are Christian in faith and those who are not. We are also adjusting all our teaching
material to reflect the cultural orientation of our students. Of course, the challenge always remains of
managing classes where the predominant language is either French or Hausa.
Sometimes
the task is daunting, but at all times it is thoroughly enjoyable. We are grateful to be able to serve in this
way. We praise God for His many
provisions in aiding us through all of the twists and turns of this adventure
He has called us to.
Matthew 28:19-20 (NIV)
19 Therefore go and make
disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the
Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and
teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you
always, to the very end of the age.”
